    The Pyunkang Yul Deep Clear Cleansing Balm is a solid-to-oil cleanser that's the first step in a double-cleanse routine. Massaged onto dry skin, the sherbet-like balm warms and slips into a silky oil that lifts away makeup, sunscreen and the day's excess sebum. Add a little lukewarm water and it emulsifies to a milky texture, then rinses off cleanly without leaving a heavy, greasy film behind.

    What sets it apart is the supporting cast of skin-loving ingredients. A blend of plant oils — rice bran, macadamia, sunflower and camellia — softens and conditions while you cleanse, so skin feels comfortable rather than stripped. Ceramide, panthenol and hyaluronic acid help the skin hold on to moisture, and extracts of centella asiatica, green tea seed and tea tree leave a calm, settled feel.

    Who is it for?

    It suits all skin types and is a particularly good match for dry skin, since it cleanses without that tight, squeaky feeling. One note: this balm contains fragrance, so if your skin is very sensitive, patch test first and keep that in mind compared to fragrance-free Pyunkang Yul products.

    How do you use it?

    1. Scoop a small amount with the dry spatula and warm it between dry fingertips.
    2. Massage over dry skin in circular motions to dissolve makeup, sunscreen and sebum.
    3. Add a little lukewarm water and keep massaging until the balm turns milky.
    4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
    5. For a full double cleanse, follow with a water-based cleanser. If your skin is dry, using this balm alone is enough.

    How to use

    Using the spatula, scoop a small amount of the conditioner and apply it to dry skin. Massage in circular motions all over the face to dissolve makeup and impurities. Add water and continue massaging until you create a milky emulsion. Wash off with lukewarm water.
