    A wash-off clay mask from Beauty of Joseon built around two ingredients with deep roots in Korean skincare: red bean and kaolin. It has a soft, wet clay texture that goes on smoothly and rinses away cleanly, leaving skin feeling fresh rather than tight.

    What it does for your skin

    Kaolin clay helps absorb excess surface oil, while red bean extract and red bean flour gently smooth and refine the look of skin texture. The formula is balanced with moisturising ingredients, so it works to soften the appearance of pores without the dry, stripped feeling some clay masks leave behind. On application you get a light cooling sensation.

    Key ingredients

    • Haenam Red Bean Extract 30% — red bean has been a favourite skincare ingredient throughout Korean history. Joseon-era women ground mung beans and red beans together to wash their faces. The saponins naturally present in red bean help take up surface oil and act as a gentle physical exfoliant.
    • Kaolin clay — a soft clay that absorbs sebum and lifts away surface debris while keeping the mask comfortable on the skin.

    How to use

    After cleansing, apply an even layer to clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with your usual toner and moisturiser. Use 1–2 times a week.

    How to use

    After cleansing, apply evenly on a dry face.
    After 5-10 minutes, gently massage with lukewarm water and rinse.

    It combines very well with an exfoliating toner with AHA/BHA acids.
